Biography:
Christo Rootman took up the position of Operations Modelling Manager at Aurizon where he leads and manages a team of highly skilled operations researchers in developing and maintaining simulation models and data analysis for the Aurizon above-rail business. Beginning his career as a Transport Modelling Technician with Arup in South Africa at the start of 2002, Christo moved to Brisbane where he continued to advance his transport modelling skills. He later joined MWH as the Transport Modelling Team Leader. During his career he has had the opportunity to work with various modelling paradigms including micro-, meso-, and macro-scopic modelling, agent based and discrete event simulation.
